This piece is dedicated to my home country, Taiwan. There are 30 postcards in total, and each of them represents the 30 classic Taiwanese dishes, hand-drawn illustration. On the back of the letters, I found 30 different college students from Taiwan that are currently studying in the US. Each card consists of their specific memories of the particular cuisine. Each note brings back the nostalgic memories and homesickness from different college students, being far away from home. I always believe that food has a sense of community. Even though we are alone in a foreign country, studying, food connects people and creates the culture.
